- Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (FAAAMS) paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis for the FAA's decision to contract with OPNET TECHNOLOGIES, INC. via single source procedures. The FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center intends to award a single contract to OPNET TECHNOLOGIES, INC. The purpose of this effort is to develop a Concept of Operations (ConOps) for providing application performance management modeling and simulation services to the varied interest in ATO IT. Develop implementation requirements to deploy the tools necessary to execute according to the ConOps. Design a system architecture identifying hardware, software and technical skills required to deploy select Opnet tools. Support the installation and integration of Opnet tools into the ATO IT infrastructure. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. If your firm does not agree with this single source determination, please provide evidence of your firm's capabilities and experience in providing the above service. The FAA will evaluate this accordingly. All responses to this announcement must be directed to William Bleda no later than 12 noon, Eastern Standard Time, July 23, 2010.
