- Description
- Deputy Executive Officer As Deputy Executive Officer for USAID/Haiti, the Contractor shall report to the Executive Officer and oversee the delivery of effective administrative and logistical support services for the Mission. In this capacity the Contractor shall organize Executive Office work priorities and serves as the alter ego to the US Direct Hire (USDH) Supervisory Executive Officer with full responsibility for providing leadership, advice and staff support in the administrative management functional areas of: management analysis; office services management; budget planning, formulation and control; procurement of commodities, services, supplies equipment and facilities; property and supply management; personnel management and services; housing; transportation; equipment and maintenance services; and participant training; and communication resources. He/she reviews and pre-approves all actions for the Executive Officer's attention, assigns and follows up on all management operations to ensure they are carried out properly and within appropriate time limits. The contractor must exercise good judgment, often under times of stress and limited time frames, in making decisions and providing advice on the USAID management policies, contracting practices and when providing personal counseling and/or advice to employees. The contractor shall be expected to use his/her judgment in making Mission management decisions and in the formulation of expert opinions.
