- Description
- (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.(ii) This RFQ and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-44. (iii) This solicitation is unrestricted. The NAICS code is 423910, Sporting and Recreational Goods and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers. The National Park Service encourages the participation of small, disadvantaged, and women-owned businesses. (iv) The Government intends to issue a firm-fixed price contract to the responsible offeror whose total offer represents the lowest price, technically acceptable for the Government. Gateway National Recreation Area, Sandy Hook Unit, Fort Hancock, NJ has a requirement to purchase: six (6) canoes, one (1) canoe trailer that can hold up to six (6) canoes, twelve (12) canoe paddles, and one (1) aluminum trailer accessory box. (v) SUPPLIES REQUIREMENTS: The vendor shall supply items that meet or exceed the following requirements listed below:LINE ITEM NUMBER 0001-LIGHTWEIGHT CANOE, DOUBLE-ENDERBrand name or equal to Manufacturer-Marathon Boat Group, Inc.; part number G-1740C. The "equal" must meet or exceed the salient characteristic of the brand name as follows:(a) Length: 17 feet.(b) Weight (passengers of 3-4): minimum is 55 pounds and maximum is 70 pounds. The carrying capacity up to 755 pounds.(c) Width: 36.125 (d) Beam 36-1/8"; ribs 3; center depth 13-1/8", keel-standard; hull weight pounds/gauge 66/.040.(e) In addition, these canoes shall have a marine-grade aluminum body.040", lead-free, chlorine free, ozone safe and CFC-free.LINE ITEM NUMBER 0002-CANOE TRAILER (HOLD UP TO SIX CANOES)Brand name or equal to Manufacturer-Trailex; part number UT-1000-6-04. The "equal" must meet or exceed the following Brand name specifications:(a) Length: 18 feet. (b) Weight: minimum is 260 pounds and the maximum is 300 pounds; carrying capacity up to 1000 pounds.(c) Width: 88 inches.(d) Height to top of coupler: 21".(e) Length between vertical posts: 92 inches.(f) Height between crossbars: 22 inches (adjustable)(g) Tire size: 570 x 7/8"(h) Finish: natural.(i) In addition, the trailer body shall be steel, must be able to attach to a standard ball joint trailer hitch and also shall be chlorine free, ozone safe, and CFC-free.LINE ITEM NUMBER 0003-CANOE PADDLESBrand name or equal to Part number K60. Manufacturer-Caviness. The "equal" must meet or exceed the following Brand name's specifications:(a) K series Paddle-Black Plastic Clad Aluminum Shaft 6'.LINE ITEM NUMBER 0004-ALUMINUM TRAILER ACCESSORY BOX Brand name or equal to Manufacturer-Trailex; part number 1701418. The "equal" must meet or exceed the following Brand name's specification:(a) Aluminum box for paddles and life jackets. The size of the box shall be as follows: 65-3/4" L x 21-3/4" W x 12" D. (vi) LOCATION: Gateway National Recreation Area, Sandy Hook Unit, 58 Hartshorne Drive, Building 130, Fort Hancock, NJ 07732.(vii) SCHEDULE of SUBMISSIONS: One (1) invoice must be submitted after successful delivery and acceptance.(viii) SCHEDULE: Delivery is required 30 days after contract award. (ix) DOCUMENTS TO BE INCLUDED IN QUOTE: 1. A firm fixed price quote, using the attached bid schedule.2. Three (3) references of the proposed equipment delivered within the past three (3) years.3. Applicable warranty information. 4. Name, phone number, and address of your point of contact. (x) The Government contemplates the award of a single purchase order on a "low-price-technically-acceptable" basis. (xi) A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. Before the offer's specified expiration time, the Government may accept an offer (or part of an offer), whether or not there are negotiations after its receipt, unless a written notice of withdrawal is received before award.(xii) FAR provisions/clauses listed below apply.
