- Description
- The U. S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, has a project entitled Construct Tech Transfer and Two Laboratories, Marshfield, WI. The work includes but is not limited to: furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other necessary work to furnish and install all repairs, improvements, removal and replacement of room finishes, mechanical equipment/systems, electrical equipment/systems, plumbing equipment/systems, and mechanical installations to provide the build out of the Technology Transfer (Room 103), Break Room (Room 104), Men's Restroom (Room 105), Women's Restroom (Room 106), Storage Room (Room 107), Dairy Science Lab (Room 148) and Zoonotics Lab (Room 156). The project also includes repairs and improvements to the ductwork serving air handling AHU-1. The project will include a base bid and bid options. The period of performance is 210 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The Magnitude of Construction is estimated between $750,000 to $1,000,000. SET-ASIDE: This acquisition will be procured as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible businesses meeting the requirements may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS code is 236220 and the annual size standard is 33.5 million. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-44. Solicitation No. AG-5114-S-10-AA29 is scheduled for uploading on or about August 3, 2010. The solicitation will be posted on the FedBizOpps website at www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. It is the responsibility of the contractor to check the website for the solicitation, as well as any amendments that may arise. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled and information provided in the solicitation package. It is highly recommended and strongly encouraged that all prospective bidders visit the project site, inspect and observe the site conditions, and review the project scope and requirements at the site prior to submission of a bid. This will be the only opportunity to visit the job site prior to submission of bid. Bids will be due by 2:00 PM on September 3, 2010. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. Contractors are required to register or update their registration at the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation, and register or update their registration at the Online Representation and Certification Application website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
