- Description
- KC-130J Propeller Tool Kit Items The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst NJ intends to enter into negotiations on a non-competitive basis with Dowty Propellers, Sterling VA, for procurement of twenty-two (22) types of propeller tools in accordance with the attached list for the KC-130J Program. These tools are being procured for initial outfitting of the USMC Reserve Refueling Squadron-452 and for Kuwait Air Force FMS Case. These tools will collectively be used during overhaul to perform propeller system maintenance by assessing and treating corrosion, impact damage, spinner installation, static and dynamic balancing, blade tracking and propeller engine repairs. The Government does not own the technical data for the KC-13J Propeller Assembly to provide to potential suppliers to support competition of this effort. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement.
