- Description
- The United States Army Contracting Command Joint Munitions & Lethality Contracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000, on behalf of the Weapon and Software Engineering Center (WSEC), Artillery Fire Control Division, to purchase the renewal of Aonix Object Ada License and Maintenance agreements for the Fire Control System of the M109 A6 Paladin. The Aonix Object Ada software is already owned by the United States Army, WSEC, and is currently fully integrated into the configuration management and software development and build environment, in support of the software development and maintenance for the Fire Control System of the M109 A6 Paladin. The product-specific features of Aonix Object Ada compiler are utilized in the software development environment for over twelve years, and to migrate from this product would be time consuming and potentially add technical risk to the continued development and fielding of Paladin Fire Control products. Aonix is the only company that can provide this product in a timely manner that will allow the WSEC Paladin software development team to accomplish their work objectives. Timely delivery of these products to the war fighters is of utmost importance. The U.S. Army intends to satisfy this requirement by soliciting, negotiating, and awarding a sole source effort to Aonix North America Inc, 5930 Cornerstone Ct, San Diego, CA, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements. This acquisition is being conducted using simplified acquisition procedures; however, responsible offerors may submit a capability statement, or quotation, which shall be considered by the Government. All responsible/interested sources shall submit their qualifications and capabilities via email to jeremy.phillips6@us.army.mil NO LATER THAN COB 02 Aug, 2010, TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Award is anticipated August 2010. In addition, please provide the firms name and address, point of contact with telephone number and email address, and size of business (small/large). The NAICS Code for this action is 511210.
