- Description
- Fiber Channel Airborne Test Systems (FCATS) components, quantity 5 each, with the option for 2 additional FCATS. FCATS are precise systems used in aircraft testing to record time-stamped radar data that will be utilized in F/A-18 aircraft and existing laboratories and test facilities. The FCATS consist of the following components manufactured by TTC: (1) AIM-4006-1: Airborne Instrumentation Multiplexer with Power Supply, Motherboard and Metalwork; (2) OVH-350-1: AIM-2004 or AIM-400X Overhead card with two GbE; (3) RCI-305-2: AIM/HSAVDAU Remote CAIS Interface Card; (4) FCR-302L-4: Dual-Channel Fibre Channel Card, 62.5 x 125 um Optics, 1 Gbps Line Rate, DAR V3 Recording Format, Receive Only mode; (5) nREC-6000-1: Network Based Recorder with two 1-Gigabit Ethernet channels, one 10/100 Base-T Ethernet port, RS232/422 port, Power supply, and Media Storage receptacle; (6) NSW-8GT-D: Gigabit Airborne Network Ethernet Switch 8 Ports with 10/100/1000 base-T electrical inputs; (7) MSA-1024SC-1: Media Storage Array consisting of 8 each 128 Gigabyte solid state storage cartridges; (8) OXB-101A-1: Standalone Single Channel Active Optical Splitter. This is a noncompetitive contract action. The intended source is Teletronics Technology Corporation (TTC). The Government aircraft, laboratory, and test facilities are current using TTC FCATS components and any new source would require significant Government reinvestment in training and equipment; moreover, flight clearances have already been obtained for the TTC part numbers mentioned, and the use of any parts not obtained from TTC would require new flight clearances to be obtained. This would cause substantial duplication of cost and unacceptable delay. Delivery schedule is 60 days after award of contract. Destination is China Lake, CA. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which will be considered. Responses to submit capability statements shall be submitted no later than 9 Aug 2010. See Notes 22 and 26.
