- The Army intends to procure the services of a contractor to provide ALERRT Active Shooter training course which will include instructors, all course material, equipment and supplies for up to 25 students. Course date: 16 Aug 2010 - 20 Aug 2010 and 23 Aug 2010 - 27 Aug 2010.3 This proposed procurement is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis to Texas State University-San Marcos, 601 University, San Marcos, TX 78666-4685 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within time and date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. HOW TO RESPOND: In order to compete for this project, interested parties must be registered in the Central Contracting Registration and submit a Proposal by 12:00 pm, ET, July 21st, 2010. Offerors may either submit one copy of their response to Sharon L. Gault, MICC, 9410 Jackson Loop, Ft Belvoir, VA by fax (703-806-4444) or email to sharon.gault@us.army.mil. It is the responsibility of the Offeror to ensure the information is received by the date and time shown above.
