The Green Bay Fishery Resource Office of the US Fish and Wildlife Service utilizes coded wire tag detectors for monitoring the movements and growth of spawning-phase Green Bay Fishery. The detectors are essential tools that will assist in developing estimates of abundance of parasitic within the Green Bay Fishery Resource. This information is critical to measuring the impact of management activities in these lakes. The field sampling detectors are used to check for the presence of coded wire tags in the fishy and for quality control while tagging. In preparation for the 2011 field season, the Green Bay Fishery Resource Office is seeking to acquire two wand detectors and three V-notch detectors and other related suppliers and service from Northwest Marine Technologies (NMT). Unique Qualifications:The Green Bay Fishery Resource Office has operated the NMT equipment over the past decade. NMT is the only company that assembles and markets coded wire tags, equipment and detectors. CWT injection equipment, CWT detection equipment and parts and repair for the injection and detection equipment is manufactured and distributed solely by NMT.
