Description
Solicitation RFQP04161000017 Cover Letter The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to make an award to a responsible entity for the provision of dentist services for the federal inmates at the Yankton Federal Prison Camp located in Yankton, South Dakota. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The contractor shall perform all services at the Federal Prison Camp, Lay Medical Building, Health Services Department, 1016 Douglas Avenue, Yankton, South Dakota, per the attached work statement. The contractor will provide an estimated 16 sessions per week, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. A session is defined as one (1) hour. The contractor will be entitled to a 30-minute non-paid lunch break per day. Specialty consultation after normal working hours must be available via telephone for emergency situations as needed. All sessions, which will include full and partial days, will be mutually agreed upon by both parties. Under no circumstances will the contractor work more than 30 hours in one week. This schedule is subject to some variation as the needs of the institution vary. A schedule that is mutually acceptable to the government and the contractor can be determined after the aware of the contract. The contractor will evaluate and treat approximately 2 to 3 patients per session. This number will decrease when minor surgical procedures are performed during a session. Contract award is anticipated to be October 1, 2010 (pending availability of funds), through September 30, 2011. Should funds not be immediately available, contract award for the fiscal year will be postponed until such time as funds become available.
