Description

DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Coast Guard intends TO PROCURE CONTRACTOR SERVICES TO PROVIDE THE TACTICAL OPERATORS COURSE FOR 20 COAST GUARD COXWAINS. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and award to NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF STATE BOATING LAW ADMINISTRATORS (NASBLA) under the authority of FAR 6.302. This course was originally provided exclusively by the Coast Guard to Coast Guard members at the Special Mission Training Center (SMTC). However, the Office of Boat Forces has identified an alternative source which can provide an identical curriculum which was previously only available from the Coast Guard. This course is the Tactical Operators course offered by NASBLA. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
