- The contract resulting from this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is for the abatement of the Rube Amburgey Landslide emergency project in Mallie, Knott County, KY. The work to be performed under the contract will consist of: mobilization and demobilization of equipment and labor; site preparation; material excavation; guardrail and steel rail retaining wall installation; drainage control; gravel road maintenance; revegetation of all disturbed areas, including tree planting; and installation of a chain link fence. The estimated price range is $100,000 - 150,000. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition in 237990. The small business size standard is $33.5M. A MANDATORY PREBID CONFERENCE IS SCHEDULED FOR 9:30 AM ON AUGUST 11, 2010. PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS ARE TO MEET AT THE DAIRY QUEEN ON HIGHWAY 1393 IN HINDMAN, KY. Bids will be opened on August 18, 2010. An original hard copy of the completed and signed IFB along with a 20 % Bid Bond, Section K Reps and Certs and the AML Contractor Information Form are due at the depository in 3 Parkway Center, Pittsburgh, PA 15220 on August 18, 2010 @ 1:00 pm. Electronic and/or faxed bids will not be accepted. Contractors doing business with the Government are required to have a DUNs number, register in the Central Contractor Registration at ccr.gov data base and complete on line representations and certifications at orca.bpn.gov.
