- RCO Livorno Sub-Office is issuing this notice to solicit industry interest in the following project. The purpose of this notice is to advertise the forthcoming solicitation to the maximum number of offerors. PROJECT NUMBER AND TITLE: ES 00584-9P, REPAIR RAILROAD CROSSSINGS, LIVORNO SUPPLY & MAINTENANCE AREA, USAG LIVORNO, ITALY DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: Work under this contract consists of the execution of 3 EA rubber level crossings at the crossings between Knight Avenue and the roads Logan, Street, magrath Street, and Mills Street. At bid submission firms shall include a working sketch on work execution in accordance to the technical specifications and in compliance with RFI (Rete Ferroviaria Italiana) instructions and dispositions. Bidders shall consider in their bid that the railroads superstructure, after the execution of the asphalt removal, shall not be in need to be replaced. WORK CATEGORY: Contract work shall be performed by specialized firms which engage only own personnel. Bidders must have the SOA certificate, OS29 category, classification III. FUNDING: The project is not funded. LOCATION OF THE WORK: The site of the proposed work is the Livorno Supply and Maintenance Area, USAG Livorno, Livorno, Italy. MAGNITUDE OF THE PROJECT: The magnitude of the project is between $100,000 and $500,000. The amounts indicated are estimated. METHOD OF CONTRACTING: This will be a Invitation for Bids / Sealed Bid (IFB) resulting in a firm fixed price contract. PERFORMANCE PERIOD: The project shall be completed within 90 calendar days after the resulting Contractor receives the Notice to Proceed (NTP). SITE VISIT: The site visit will be held on 24 August 2010 at 9:00 hrs MEETING POINT FOR THE SITE VISIT: Front Gate, Depot, USAG Livorno MISCELLANEOUS: The solicitation package, including the technical specifications, description of the work, drawings and all additional information, free of charge, will be posted on ASFI, https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ HOW TO PARTICIPATE: In order to participate all interested parties are invited to indicate their interest by submitting a written request not later than 10 August 2010 to the following e-mail address: judy.biboum@eur.army.mil.
