Description
NASA/GSFC has a requirement for Remote Sensor Mikrokopter. The Mikrokopter arethe primary remote sensing aerial platform for use in the Remote Sensing Earth ScienceTeacher Program (RSESTeP). They will be used by schools in coordination with GoddardSpace Flight Center Scientists to carry out remote sensing science missions and datacollections. 5 Built Mikrokopter (Hexa Version) with FC V2.0, BICtrl's V1.2, Navi Ctrl V1.1, MKGPS,MK3Mag, MK-Hex Frame, Robbe2827-35 motors + custom prop adaptors (brushless), MKUSB,props (+spares), air pressure sensor Video Downlink 5 5.8 GHz, 250mw) - includes transmitter and receiver 1 axis (tilt) CameraGimbal/Undercarriage (custom made for dual camera use-including high torque servo) -Expandable to also include pan control Spectrum DX7 5 Transmitter + Setup-2.4Ghz 7 channel 20 3700mah Lipo battery (4 cell) 5 LiPO charger 7' Video Monitor + gimbal/video feed control station (for student). 5 Utilising 72 MHz transmitter and separately quoted video downlink 5 Transmitter Chargers 5 Mini Camera for video downlink 5 Wi232 (or similar) 900 MHz data link-fully built and configured 5 Netbook Laptop for use with datalink 2 Full day (flight training, system, debugging etc) and final setting up of unit. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from NextGen-RC pursuant to FAR 13.106 for theacquisition of supplies or services determine to be reasonably from one source. NextGen has the capability to custom tailor Remote Sensing Earth Science Teacher Program(RSESTeP) platform to meet observational requirements within 30 days. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities statement to perform the effort inwriting to the identified point of contact not later than 2:30 p.m. local time on August19, 2010. Such statements will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whetheror not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by theGovernment not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis,based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit a statement which shall be considered by the agency.
