Description
Request for Information Only: This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for informational and planning purposes only. This is not a Request for Quotes (RFQ) or Request for Proposal RFP. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. AMIC is currently conducting market research to locate qualified, experienced, responsible, and interested potential sources. The information requested by this RFI will be used within the Air Force to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside of the government. The Air Combat Command Acquisition Management and Integration Center (ACC AMIC) at Langley AFB VA is seeking information concerning the availability of capable contractors to provide technical support, maintenance support, and equipment spares for a 38 meter aerostat. The Air Force also seeks information regarding the capability to train flight directors for the 38 meter aerostat. A 38 meter aerostat is being transferred from the US Army to the US Air Force. During the period of time the Air Force determines what payload(s) will be integrated, the aerostat and equipment must be maintained in an inflated serviceable condition while the concept of operations is being developed. The Air Force seeks information regarding contractor capability to provide such support. Additionally, the Air Force seeks information regarding contractor-provided training and certification for qualifying flight directors to operate the 38 meter aerostat. Lastly, the Air Force seeks information regarding a rough order of magnitude (ROM) of pricing to formulate an estimate of rough costs to be utilized for planning & budgeting of funds for such a requirement. Services/Supplies anticipated include: 1. Hangar life support maintenance and repair of 38 meter aerostat and associated ground equipment 2. Parts, material, and services required to maintain/sustain the aerostat 3. Aerostat deflation, storage, transport, and inflation services 4. Integration of government payloads onto the aerostat to include test flight operations, including Federal Communications Commission Licenses for checkout of aerostat communications and surveillance payloads. 5. Training flight directors The Capabilities Statement should include - general and technical background information describing your firm's experience in contracts requiring similar efforts to meet the service/supplies stated above and of the same magnitude of scope - information regarding a rough order of magnitude (ROM) of pricing to formulate an estimate of rough costs to be utilized for planning & budgeting of funds for future similar requirements. - rough estimates of pricing to move an aerostat from its current location, inflated at Elizabeth City, North Carolina, to a capable location, reinflate it, and maintain/sustain it in an operable condition. In addition, the following information is requested: 1. Company CAGE Code, DUNS, name, address, point of contact, telephone number, and email address 2. Approximate annual gross revenue and number of employees 3. Any small business consideration (8(a), HUB Zone, veteran-owned, woman-owned, etc) 4. Please indicate which NAICS code(s) your company usually performs under Government contracts The government plans to use the Internet and e-mail as the primary means of disseminating and exchanging information.
