- REPAIR OF AFOTEC HQ BUILDING 20130 ANNEX FIRST FLOOR, KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, NEW MEXICO. The proposed procurement is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set Aside. All other firms are deemed ineligible. NAICS is 236220/SIC 1542, with a size standard of $33,500,000.00. The magnitude of construction for this project will be between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. Offerors attention is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding the tour of the site. Plans will be issued on or about 20 August 2010, with proposals due on or about 20 September 2010. Offerors are advised that this requirement may be delayed, cancelled, or revised at any time during the solicitation, or final award process, and is subject to the availability of funds. THE PROJECT consists of the complete renovation of the interior of Building 20130 Annex First Floor. Renovation consists of repairing interior finishes by replacing walls and replacing flooring throughout. The renovation also includes: "The removal and replacement of walls and ceilings to creating meeting and conference room space " Correcting handicap accessibility issues at building entrances and restrooms "Providing additional electrical, communications, and local area network outlets where required "Replacing separate evaporative cooling and heating systems with and integrated HVAC system connecting to the base environmental control and maintenance system "Renovating the building courtyard to encourage everyday use and breaks from test team meetings and conferences. THE PROJECT will be advertised as a Request for Proposal. Competitive proposals will be evaluated based on the evaluation criteria set forth in the solicitation package. Evaluation by the Government will result in selection of a firm that represents the best value to the Government. Proposed procurement will result in a firm-fixed price contract.
