- THIS IS A TOTAL 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) SET-ASIDE. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Iowa intends to issue an Invitation For Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract to provide all tools, materials, equipment and labor necessary for completion of construction project 636A6-10-714, Relocate/Widen Circle Drive Road at the Des Moines VA Medical Center, Des Moines, Iowa, in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Contractor shall completely prepare the site for building operations, including limited demolition and removal, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for Relocation and Widening of the Circle Drive at the VA Central Iowa Health Care System. Work is to be completed within 300 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Specifications and Drawings for submitting a bid will be available at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All respondents must be registered in the CCR database (http://www.ccr.gov) and complete online Representations and Certifications at (http://orca.bpn.gov), along with Vets 100 at (http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/) prior to award. Bidders must also be registered in VetBiz at (http://www.vetbiz.gov/). Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All parties must obtain amendments to the solicitation through this web site. Hard copies will not be mailed. Interested parties must go to the web site to be entered on the Interested Vendors List and/or to obtain copies of the Interested Vendors List. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to Sarah.Davis4@va.gov. Issue Date is tentatively scheduled for Aug 20, 2010. The Pre-bid meeting/Site-visit will be announced upon Solicitation issuance. Bid Opening Date is tentatively scheduled for Sep 20, 2010, at 9:00 A.M. (CST), in Bldg. #2, Room #214 at the Des Moines, VAMC, Des Moines, IA, but exact date may vary depending on issuance of the solicitation. The applicable NAICS Code is 238110, with the applicable size standard being $14 million. Cost range is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00.
