- Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, HubZone, 8(a), small disadvantaged business, small business, woman owned business or large business) relative to NAICS 811219 (size standard of $7.0 million per annum). Description of work to be performed includes: The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center (RLR VAMC), Indianapolis, IN, is seeking qualified firms capable of providing required linen services to the offsite domiciliary. Contractor shall provide equipment, supplies, supervision, textiles, and labor for linen delivery to the VA Domiciliary, a 50 bed facility located 4th and 5th floors at 725 N. Pennsylvania St., Indianapolis, IN. Supplies shall be delivered in bundles and will include the following: 1.Fitted Sheets 2.Thermo Blankets 3.Pillow Cases 4.Wash Cloths 5.Flat Sheets 6.Comforters 7.Bath Towels Contractor shall pick up soiled linen and deliver clean linen twice a week. Contractor shall remove soiled linen in hampers from the 4th and 5th floors in designated locations for transportation to contractor laundry. Contractor shall provide lose linen bi-weekly to be stored in the storage room located in the basement with contractor providing sock rotation once a month. Contractor shall provide covered shelf carts to be used for delivery of bundles and for storage of additional items. Contractor shall provide covered soiled linen hampers to be placed on each floor in designated areas. VA Medical Center will provide each room with a personal linen hamper. Personal linen hampers will be emptied into contractor provided hampers by residents. Responses to this notice should include company name, a service capability statement, examples of similar facilities to which you have provided similar services to, DUNS number, address, point of contact and the size of your business pursuant to the following questions: (1) Is your business large or small? (2) If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emerging business, or small disadvantaged business? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? (4) Is your firm a certified HubZone firm? (5) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? (6) Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small or Veteran Owned Small Business? Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email or fax) and received no later than 4:00 PM August 13, 2010. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on the Federal Business Opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
