- The U.S. Department of Labor is seeking qualified Architectual/Engineering (A/E) firms for a project in Roswell, New Mexico. We are looking for firms that qualify under the Small Business Programs mentioned in the Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 19. When submitting your response, please indicate under which programs you meet the criteria. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT for planning purposes only. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are small businesses with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. This procurement involves an A/E firm for construction administration services for the renovation work in buildings 534 and 535, demolition of buildings 536A, 536, and 557 at the Roswell Job Corps Center in Roswell, New Mexico. The construction administration services shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, services during bidding, shop drawing review, construction site visits, review and processing of all requests for information (RFI's) and construction modifications (change orders), and conducting the substantial completion walk-through inspection and project close-out. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541310, and the Small Business Size Standard is $4.5 million. All firms responding to this announcement must demonstrate their experience in the aforementioned work. Pertinent factors for consideration of qualifications are: (1) Qualifications of assigned project personnel, which considers design capability, project management skills, and construction administration capability; (2) Specialized experience of assigned project personnel; (3) Capacity to perform work in the required time; (4) Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules, for similar type projects, (5) Location (preference shall be given to Project Team located in the general geographical area of the project, with knowledge of the locality of the project); and (6) Energy efficiency/waste reduction capabilities. All interested parties are invited to submit a capabilities statement to Monica Gloster, Contract Specialist, Division of Job Corps A&E and Construction Services, 200 Constitution Avenue, NW, Room N-4308, Washington, DC 20210. Responses are due August 20, 2010 by 3 PM EST. The statements of qualification shall include three projects performed by your firm that are comparable to the work required under this project, and your firms DUNS number.
