- Description
- This is a modification to the synopsis entitled IMAGER FOR LAB DIAGNOSTIC TOOLNNM10351851 which was posted on 8-3-2010. You are notified that the following changes aremade: Questions and Answers below.Question:1. What is the type of vacuum interface that connects the camera to your equipment? I.e., specify a size of conflat flange, etc.Answer:The camera will be placed IN the vacuum system(s) and must not outgas on any of ourExtreme Ultraviolet and Xray test optics. There should be a mechanical vacuum interface that will allow us to mount the cameraexternal to the vacuum system for some of our tests that use small vacuum chambers.Conflat would be the best interface but ASA flanges with oil rings are an option as longas vacuum levels <10E-5 torr are possible.Question:2. What temperature does the CCD need to be cooled to?Answer:Temperatures using a TEC (external to vacuum system): < -50CQuestion:3. Is there interest in an LN2 cooled device to eliminate dark noise?Answer:The camera will be mounted to a cold plate which will have LN2 flowing through it. Therefore a copper block from the camera head that can be mounted to that cold platewould be required. Since the cold plate has to be designed for each vacuum system, thevendor can choose the best thermal/mechanical interface for his camera. AGAIN mosttesting ASSUMES that the camera is mounted INSIDE the vacuum system and onto to a LN2cold plate. Dark current at -50C should be less than 1 electron per pixel per minute.Question:4. The sensor type looks to be the e2V 47-10. Is there a preference for AIMO to reducedark noise? (No dark noise values are specified).Answer:A back-illuminated, uncoated AIMO CCD with 13um pixels. The base line CCD is an e2v47-10.The minimum array size is 1024x1024 pixels. The due date for responses is extended to 8/12/2010.Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet.
