Description
Notice of Intent to use Brand Name The George C. Marshall Center (GCMC) in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany intends to solicit for a requirement to replace its Bosch Digital Contress Network (DCN) interpretation systems in 12 seminar rooms should funding become available. The requirement will be based on the following Statement of Work (SOW): STATEMENT OF WORK for ACQUISITION AND INSTALLATION OF NEW DIGITAL CONGRESS NETWORK INTERPRETATION SYSTEM IN BUILDING 105 OF THE GEORGE C. MARSHALL CENTER The Marshall Center is currently in the process of procuring life-cycle replacement of the Phillips/Bosch Digital Congress Network (DCN) interpretation system in the main plenary/lecture facility in Building 105. 1. SPECIFIC TASKS 1.1. The contractor will provide the following: a. All equipment to the noted specifications in the Scope of Work outlining specific requirements. b. All necessary cabling, connectors, adapters, mounts, calibration & alignment equipment, tools and other technical items that may be necessary to complete the installation. d. Adequate manpower for timely installation, configuration, testing and training for all furniture and equipment. All installation, testing, cabling, systems verification and training must be completed within 14 days after the beginning installation date. The contractor shall be given at least 45 days notice before the actual start date of installation. e. All equipment and electronics will be installed must be compatible with and conform to the same operator functionality characteristics of the current electronics layout of the existing conference facilities in GCMC building 109. f. The contractor will install all equipment, including all cabling, routing, testing, and operation verification. The project will not be deemed complete until such time that all systems have been tested and verified operational and functional by the Marshall Center senior audio/visual specialist. g. One day of training for Marshall Center audio-visual personnel for all aspects of equipment usage. 1.2 All on-site work shall be scheduled with GCMC VIB, Randy Weekes (weekesr@marshallcenter.org), Tel: 49-8821-750895, or James Mitchell (mitchellj@marshallcenter.org), Tel: 49-8821-750879. SCOPE OF WORK 2.1 General: The contractor shall provide the necessary services, equipment, tools and parts to complete the installation audiovisual equipment, as specified below. The contractor is responsible for the production of all technical drawings and schematics, and to have them approved by the GCMC VIB senior audio/visual specialist prior to installation of any equipment. The contractor is responsible for providing one master and two copies of all technical drawings and schematics. These will be provided within 30 days after installation is completed and accepted by the GCMC to allow for any changes to be incorporated into the documents. 2.1.1 Requested equipment/component list. Qty Description 12 Bosch DCN CCU 16 Bosch DCN-DISR-D 10 er VPE 152 Bosch DCN-DISDCS-D 76 Bosch DCN-IDESK-D 228 Bsoch DCN-MICS All required cabling, adapters, termination plugs, connectors necessary to complete the installation. Due to different room sizes, exact lengths/quantities must be determined during a site visit. 3. ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS 3.1 Travel costs: The contractor is responsible for providing transportation, lodging and meals for installation crews and staff during onsite visits and the actual installation phase. 3.2. Appearance: Contractor shall present a neat, well-groomed appearance at all times. 3.3. Hours of Operation. Normal operating hours are from 0800 to 1700, Monday through Friday. 3.4 Security Requirements. The contractor shall meet the security requirements as set forth in AR 604-20. A security clearance is not required for the contractor's performance of work. 4. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY AND SERVICES 4.1 General. The government will provide access to office space, facilities, materials, and automation equipment and/or services listed herein for the conduct of this SOW. 4.2 Property 4.2.1 Facilities. Office and/or suitable rooms for conducting administrative duties in the building shall be provided. Contractors shall sign for building keys with the appropriate Building Key Coordinator, and shall be briefed on building security and access responsibilities. 4.2.2 Access to information. The contractor shall be given access to the Visual Information Branch's technical drawings, schematics, and existing conference facilities. 4.2.3 Coordination with other contractors. The GCMC will arrange for any meetings necessary between the technical engineers responsible for existing equipment and the contractor to establish the technical and physical means for connectivity between building 106 and the existing facility in building 105. All requirements for connectivity will be determined in writing during these meetings, and signed and agreed to by all parties. 5. DEFINITIONS. 5.1. Abbreviations. 5.1.1 GCMC - George C.
