Description

The United States Capitol, including the Capitol Visitor Center, has on display numerous statues, busts, reliefs, and other objects in a variety of mediums, primarily marble and bronze, dating back to the 19th century. The AOC intends to engage a qualified Conservator and staff to perform all work as necessary for the cleaning and repairing of sculptures in the U.S. Capitol Building under and IDIQ contract for Base Year plus 4 Option Years. The solicitation will be issued on or about August 8, 2010. The due date for receipt of proposals will be on or about August 31, 2010. The solicitation will only be available electronically on FedBizOpps on the date of issuance. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO DOWNLOAD THE ELECTRONIC VERSION OF THE SOLICITATION. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO MONITOR THIS SITE FOR ALL CHANGES!! Attendance at the site visit is strongly encouraged!! A pre-proposal conference and site visit will be scheduled once the solicitation is released.
