- Edwards AFB, Eglin AFB, Eielson AFB, Hurlburt Field, McConnell AFB and Seymour Johnson AFB (Continental Group) Industry Forum General Information Document Type: Special Notice Solicitation Number: AFCEE-09-0001 Posted Date: 11 August 2010 Archive Date: Original Response Date: 30-31 August 2010 Current Response Date: Classification Code: Y -- Construction of structures and facilities SetAsides: N/A Contracting Office Address Department of the Air Force, Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment, AFCEE/ACX, 2261 Hughes Ave, Ste 155, Lackland AFB, TX 78236-9853 Description The Department of Air Force is seeking qualified entities for a housing privatization project that consists of grouping the housing at Edwards AFB, California, Eglin AFB, Florida, Eielson AFB, Alaska, Hurlburt Field, Florida, McConnell AFB, Kansas and Seymour Johnson AFB, North Carolina. The project provides a unique opportunity for top quality firms to assist in the development, operations and financing of this family housing privatization effort. Specifically, the Air Force is seeking qualified entities to own, renovate, operate, and maintain approximately 4,314 Family Housing Units on Edwards AFB, Eglin AFB, Eielson AFB, Hurlburt Field, McConnell AFB and Seymour Johnson AFB for the benefit of Air Force families for at least 50 years. The project will include conveyance of 4,414 existing units. The project will require demolition of 1,585 units and construction of 1,494 units. The Air Force will lease up to approximately 2,414 acres of land (422 at Edwards AFB, 1,072 at Eglin AFB, 267 at Eielson AFB, 165 at Hurlburt Field, 162 at McConnell AFB and 326 at Seymour Johnson AFB). The Air Force's goal is to provide military families access to safe, quality, affordable, well-maintained housing in a community where they will choose to live. An Industry Forum will be conducted on August 30-31, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency, Wichita, Kansas. The purpose of the forum is to provide pertinent information on the project and corresponding statement of need that is expected to be released shortly before the Forum. Following formal presentations, the forum will include a short tour of McConnell AFB family housing areas. Follow on visits to the remaining installations will occur as follows: Eglin AFB and Hurlburt Field on September 2, 2010, Eielson AFB on September 8, 2010, Edwards AFB on September 10,2010 and Seymour Johnson AFB on September 14, 2010.
