Description
The U.S. Army, Joint Munitions & Lethality Contracting Center, on behalf of the U.S. Army ARDEC (Armament Research Development Engineering Center), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ intends to issue a Request for Proposal on the procurement of a Rapid Support Removal System (RSRS) to be utilized in the processing of Stratasys, Inc. Fused Deposition Modeler (FDM) Prototypes. An RSRS is required to remove Stratasys, Inc. Water Works soluble support structure from an ABS Plastic prototype fabricated in a Stratasys, Inc. FDM 400MC Fused Deposition Modeler. Removal of support structure is accomplished utilizing a combination of heat, water, agitation and Stratasys, Inc. Water Works, Soluble release Material P400 SR. The minimum requirements of the RSRS are as follows: Be capable of handling a prototype envelope of 16 inches X 14 inches X 16 inches (w x d x h).Be capable of heating the support removal solution to no more than 150 degrees Fahrenheit.Fully automated with temperature controller and timerDesigned to remove Stratasys, Inc. WaterWorks soluble support structure from an ABS Plastic prototype fabricated in a Stratasys, Inc. FDM 400MC Fused Deposition Modeler utilizing a combination of heat, water, agitation and Stratasys, Inc. WaterWorks, Soluble release Material P400 SR.Equipped with water supply connections and water drain.Equipped with rinse sink for parts rinsing and hand washing.All functions shall be contained within a single unit. The Government intends to fulfill this requirement to one awardee on a competitive basis. Firms/companies are invited to send their responses by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, demonstration video and other technical data as well as identification of current customers and rough indication of pricing. Any pricing data, if available, should be sent at no cost to the U.S. Government. Please provide your responses BY 25 AUGUST 2010.
