- The Army Contracting Command (ACC), Joint Munitions & Lethality (JM&L) Contracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000, on behalf ofthe Project Manager, Joint Lightweight Howitzer intends to issue a solicitation requirement for an Optical Fire Control (OFC) for the Lightweight 155mm Howitzer in order to support its full rate production and sustainment requirements. The OFC shall be built in accordance with the Statement of Work and Technical Data Package (TDP) within the Solicitation. This will be a competitive acquisition which is intended to be awarded as a result of a Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government intends to make only one award as a result of this RFP, but reserves the right to make multiple rewards. The Government will select for award the proposal that is the most advantageous and represents the best valued offer to the Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 333314. The Government intends to award an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ), Firm Fixed Price contract(s) with a duration of five years, which includes First Article Testing, OFC Spare Parts, and OFC production units. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be posted on the US Army JM&L Contracting Center Procurement Network website located at http://procnet.pica.army.mil and FedBizOpps https://www.fbo.gov/. Be advised that this notice does not constitute an RFP. The RFP will be issued on or about 1 September 2010. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database by accessing the CCR web site at http://www.ccr.gov in order to be eligible for contract award.
