- Description
- NASA/NSSC has a requirement for a course entitled 'Integrated Applied Space SystemsEngineering and Project Management Program.' The objective of the training is to providea graduate level curriculum for Integrated Applied Space Systems Engineering and ProjectManagement Graduate Certificate delivered onsite at NASA Ames as well as providingmentoring support directly related to this program. The vendor shall be responsible fordeveloping the integrated program and providing all training materials to include anyassignments, exams, software, textbooks or workbooks necessary. The vendor shall providea graduate certificate program based on existing modules into an integrated programdesign and include a not-for graduate credit leadership development component.The program shall provide a unique combination of hands-on project management developmentwith a space domain focus explicitly derived from NASA project management procedures,policies, practices and requirements including NASAs NPR 7120.5d and integrate into itspace domain focus on system engineering, with a balanced and integrated technical domainand system management approach tied to NASA NPR 7123.1.NASA/NSSC intends to purchase the above curriculum from Stevens Institute of Technology,School of Systems and Enterprises, Hoboken, NJ 07030. Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, theacquisition of these services has been determined to be reasonably available from onlyone source. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. centraltime on August 25, 2010. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely forthe purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitivebasis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a fulland open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within thediscretion of the government.
