- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Great Lakes Science Center located in Ann Arbor, Michigan has a requirement to contract with an A&E firm to design for repair, replacement and renovation of a fish holding water system. The performance period of the contract will be for 180 days from the date of an initial contract award.Design services will include the following design scopes: completely demo approximately 2800 square feet of present Fish Holding water treatment area; maintain wells into water treatment area for emergency use and design a new state of the art city water supply system capable of removing chlorine and any other chemicals that could affect the health of fish; All Electrical, Structural and Mechanical requirements; Design shall include new tanks, pumps, motors and a state of art computer software system to monitor temperatures, flow rates, water quality and provide alarm capability. All A&E firms responding to this announcement will be evaluated on the following criteria: (1) Expertise and knowledge in designing city water supply systems for fish holding purposes; (2) Expertise and knowledge in designing water re-circulating systems of various sizes used in fish research and fish holding systems; (3) Expertise and knowledge in designing means and methods to both heat and chill supply water for fish research purposes; (4) Knowledge of any and all codes required to design research water flow systems including the disposal of waste effluent by-products for fish holding facilities; (5) Document references showing expertise in designing similar projects with the design requirements for this project. Type of contract: Firm fixed price. Those firms that meet the requirements described in this announcement and wish to be considered must submit an SF 330 Part I with their capabilities statement. Selection criteria is in accordance with FAR 36.602-, professional qualifications; specialized experience; past performance; location in the general geographical area of the project. The successful firm will be awarded a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order based solely on the data contained in the SF-330, references, and questions and answers of pre-selected firms. Upon successful completion of the negotiations with the selected firm, a purchase order will be issued. This acquisition will be made under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of $100,000.00. Facsimile or electronic copies will not be accepted. Please provide the following additional information on the form(s): Tax Identification Number (TIN) and DUNS number. All contractors doing business with the Government are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR).
