- Description
- Furnish and deliver FOB Destination to Massena, New York, Ekki Timbers (Lophira Procera) in 10 ft. (3.05m) lengths beveled in accordance with Corporation drawings to be furnished. All timbers shall have sound square edges and ends. Tolerances on all dimensions shall be +/- 1/4 inch.(0.64cm). All timbers shall be free from sapwood, rot, wane, cracks other than normal checking and other such defects. Timbers shall be furnished as follows: 1) 8 in. x 10.25 in. (20.3 cm x 26.0 cm) with exposed heart- a protrusion of heart centers/heartwood allowed on one 10.25 in. (26.0 cm) side only. -Quantity- 20 each. 2) 14 in. x 13.25 in (35.6 cm x 33.7 cm) with exposed heart- a protrusion of heart centers/ heartwood allowed on the unbeveled 13.25 in. (33.7 cm) side only. - Quantity- 35 each. 3) 14 in. x 10.25 (35.6 cm x 26.0 cm) with exposed heart- a protrusion of heart centers/ heartwood allowed on the unbeveled 10.25 in. (26.0 cm) side only. - Quantity- 70 each. Delivery is required by May 1, 2011. A firm fixed price contract shall be awarded. The Request for Quoation (RFQ) will be available for downloading from www.fedbizops.gov on or about August 31, 2010. Paper copies of the RFQ may be requested by email at nancy.scott@dot.gov or by fax at (315)764-3268. The proposed procurement will be a Total Small Business Set-aside. All eligible and responsible small business concerns may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation. Prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for award. Please register with the CCR at www.ccr.gov. Attention: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Short Term Lending Program (STLP) offers financial assistance to eligible disadvantaged, Hubzone, or service disabled veteran owned businesses. Maximum line of credit is $750,000 with interest at the prime rate, as published in the Wall Street Journal, plus 2 points.
