- RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER(S): Bowhead Science & Technology, LLC, W91278-10-D-0001, Scientific and Technology Support to Mobile District Using recovery Act funding, the Mobile District Corps of Engineers intends to issue a modification to contract number W91278-10-D-0001, a Sole Sourced 8(a) awarded as a Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract (IDIQ)for Scientific and Technology Support for the Mobile District Corps of Engineers awarded to Bowhead Science and Technology, LLC, 7851 Dolleys Court, King George, VA 22485. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A task order will be placed against the IDIQ Contract in support of the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Inland Electronic Navigational Charts (IENCs) and paper chart production capabilities. The contractor will work on Phase II of the implementation of an enterprise production system for the creation, maintenance, and dissemination of hardcopy chart products and IENCs. This enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS) will be the foundation of a modern production system, and will establish a federated inland waterways database. The existing contract must be used for the following reason: 1) The work to be performed is within scope of the original contract. 2) The incumbent contract has the management, technical and administrative skills to efficiently and effectively accomplish this work. 3) This contract enables the work to begin immediately. Contract clauses required for project involving Recovery Act funds have been incorporated into the existing contract. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) contain specific acquisition requirements that must be met when using Recovery Act funds, including compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
