Description of Supplies. The Ceretom bed is required for adaptability and compatibility with and existing Siemens Focus 220 microPet currently in use in the Bio-Imaging Facility at the National Center for Toxicology. The accompanying Inveon research workplace is a multimodality image review fusion and analysis package designed to enable repeatable analysis results and support PET, SPECT, CT and MR data in DICOM and Inveon, CT, PET and SPECT formats and manage data from a PET workstation. The Pharmacokinetic Modeling Package modeling package extends the functionality of the core kinetic analysis workflow to further analyze time activity data. The 64-bit visualization workstation supports the display and analysis of large image volumes required for up to 8 GB datasets and is required for high resolution MicroPET/CT imaging. Statutory Authority: 41 USC253c(1): FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or sources will satisfy agency requirements. Validity of Statutory Authority. Siemens Medical Solutions is the sole provider of this equipment. The equipment will be used in conjunction with existing Siemens Ceretom equipment to accomplish in vivo, non-invasive scanning to characterize transient and permanent neural responses via different types of intervention including chemical and biological compounds in small animals including non-human primates. Experiments will be directed at neuro-imaging of live subjects and as ongoing studies to characterize immediate neural expression and compound effects within the brain structures of non-human primates.
