- SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic intends to issue a sole source contract, in accordancewith FAR 6.302-1, to Harris Corporation, RF Communications Division, 1680University Ave, Rochester, NY 14610, for two (2) radio communicationssystems: HF SAR System, AN/URC-146 D9V, (PN: 11098-5810-02). This radiois the only HF radio that has embedded Automatic Link Establishment (ALE)technology and is JITC certified MIL-STD-188-110B, Appendix C,interoperability. Further, this is the only radio with an embedded modemcertified interoperable with other MIL-STD-188-110B Appendix C modems.Additionally, the radio contains CITADEL (RF Communications Divisionproprietary) encryption mode that allows secure communication interoperabilitywith allied/coalition forces. No other radios is interoperable with the HarrisRFCommunications Division proprietary CITADEL encryption mode. Harris is theresponsible source capable of meeting the Government's needs. A Firm Fixed Price contract is anticipated. The applicable North AmericanIndustry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334220 and the size standardis 750 employees. NO SOLICITATION WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE AS A RESULTOF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. This notice of intent is not a request for competitiveproposals or quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete basedupon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of theGovernment.Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose ofdetermining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
