- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE only. Responses to this notice will be used for information and planning purposes only. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this notice. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. This notice shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. The VA Health care Network Upstate New York (VISN 2) is seeking a Physician for the Emergency Department at the Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, New York. Applicant will perform duties in the Emergency Department, including diagnosing, treating and managing patients according to standard, usual an acceptable methods and techniques. Services performed include, but are not limited to: performing assessments/examinations on initial encounters with unscheduled, emergency/urgent and new patients, coordinating patient treatment plan, ordering appropriate routine diagnostic tests and x-ray studies, recommending patients for hospital admissions and documenting in the computerized medical record. It is estimated that the Emergency Department Physician will work between 24 and 36 hours per week in 12 hour shifts. This is a temporary position. Responses are to be sent electronically to leslie.robinson2@va.gov. After review of the responses, a solicitation announcement may be published online. Responses to this sources sought notice are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested parties will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this notice. Interested parties are reminded to register on the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) website at http://www.ccr.gov, in order to be eligible for award of Government contracts. Responses must be received by 8/20/2010.
