- Performance Work Statement - High Rise Window Washing 1.Furnish all necessary labor and materials to perform high rise window washing the process will be to wash, clean, and polish exterior windows (both inside and outside) for the medical center according to the following schedules. Windows should be cleaned with a mild soap and water solution on the inside, using non-ammonia base cleaner. Reports will be made to the Manager, Environmental Management Section, daily on areas covered; an approximate total of 9,811 windows, some windows may need special washing. Windows are to be left translucent and free from dirt, streaks, tar, paint, water-proofing compounds and other substances. The inside of windows will be cleaned with a mild soap and water solution without ammonia base. 3.All outside gratings are to be removed by the contractor, cleaned, replaced, and securely fastened. The Chief, Environmental Management Service, will be advised of any gratings that cannot be securely fastened. 4.Any stains or discoloration of floors, sills, furniture, buildings or other property, caused by window cleaning, shall be thoroughly removed by the contractor. 5.Any glass broken by the contractor or his/her personnel during the performance of this contract shall be replaced by the contractor within 24 hours. The glass shall be replaced in accordance with standard practices. 6.Any gratings damaged by the contractor or his personnel shall be replaced by the contractor. 7.The contractor will report to the Manager, Environmental Management Section, at the beginning of each work day to schedule the work areas. All work in one building shall be completed prior to starting work in another building. 8.All work shall be performed during normal work hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays, unless otherwise authorized in writing by the Contracting Officer or his/her representative. 9.The contractor shall exercise caution in cleaning the inside of windows which have "Scotch tint" applied. Abrasive cleaners, or cleaners that could damage the "Scotch tint" will not be used. Any "Scotch tint" damaged by cleaning shall be promptly replaced by the contractor. 10.Contractor shall make provisions for obtaining "Identification Badges" for his/her employees. The ID Badges are provided at no cost by the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Upon completion of the contract, the Contractor shall turn in the ID Badges. Badges that are not returned will cost the Contractor $10.00 each. 11.Attached is a map of this facility and a list of the building showing the estimated number of window in each building. Price Schedule High Rise Window Washing for the MEDVAMC Furnish all personnel, supervision, and other services necessary to perform the work, as specified in the Statement of Work and in accordance with the terms and conditions of this contract, for the Base Period of October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011 and four each 12-month Option Periods that may be exercised at the discretion of the Government.
