- RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER(S): B C Schmidt Construction, Inc. Contract No W912P7-10-C-0004 This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because a statute exists that expressly authorizes or requires that the acquisition be made from a specific source or through another agency (FAR 6.302-5); specifically, Sole source awards under the 8(a) Program. Per FAR 6.302-5 a J&A is not required for this award. Furnish the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (COE)San Francisco District with labor, materials, equipment and supplies necessary to perform the following additional work items (modification to contract W912P7-10-C-0004) for WSD Liberty Glen Campground Water Treatment Plant Replacement: 1. Miscellaneous design work - $ 14,730.00. 2. Design and construct new control system since existing control system would not be compatible with new filtration system without costly modifications -$61,768.00 3. Replace undersized pumps, i.e. existing pumps would not provide high enough water pressures to properly operate new filtration system - $ 30,143.00. 4. Design and construct new chlorination system to satisfy current State of California Regional Water Quality Control Board requirements, i.e. required to secure permit from Regional Board to operate new water treatment plant - $ 122,917.00. 5. Process water permit application - $ 14,420.00. 6. Install pre-filtration system recommended to extend life of main filters, particularly during seasonal periods of high lake turbidity levels - $ 9.503.00 TOTAL FOR ALL WORK ITEMS IS $ 253,481.00.
