Description
The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, in support of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS/IMF), Bremerton, WA is soliciting for 175 Chain Hoists (Harrington brand name or equal) of various sizes to lift and move heavy objects throughout an industrial environment. The load chain and hooks shall be free from all types of surface treatment (except nickel diffusion is allowed on chains) such as painting, plating and galvanizing. The load and hand chain shall be carbon or alloy steel. Hooks on the Chain Hoist(s) shall be without welds and forged. Chain Hoists shall have a minimum factor of safety of 4:1 based on the ultimate strength of the material. Chain Hoist(s) shall be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of: ASME B30.16 Hoists, Overhead (Under hung) ASME HST-2-1999, Performance Standard for Hand Chain Manually Operated Chain Hoists (Main Body, not Appendix A). Delivery is F.O.B. Destination PSNS/IMF Bremerton, WA. The commercial solicitation will be issued on or about 20 August 2010 with a closing date of 2 September 2010. This requirement to be solicited using commercial, simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13.5 utilizing Low Price Technically Acceptable evaluation factors resulting in award of a Firm-Fixed Price, Supply type contract. FUNDS ARE CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS REQUIREMENT. IF THE CONTRACTING OFFICER DOES NOT OBTAIN FUNDING BY 15 OCTOBER 2010, THE SOLICITATION WILL BE CANCELLED. OFFERED PRICING MUST REMAIN VALID UNTIL AT LEAST 20 OCTOBER 2010. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents. Prospective offerors should register themselves on the NECO website.
