Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, U. S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, Springfield, Missouri, intends to award on a sole source base under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1 with Henry Schein Inc, 135 Duryea Road, Melville, NY 11747 for Medisystems Ready Set Blood Tubing, Medisystems Arterial/Venious Fistula Needles, and Streamline Airless Blood Tubing. The tubing and vented safety featured needles are calibrated to our transonic machine. The transonic is calibrated to the tubing diameter and to each dialysis machine. This calibration measures the accuracy of blood flow and is critical in patient care and management. Due to the calibration requirement and past performance of these products, this notice is being issued. Estimated quantities and products are as follows: 1.666-9063, MediSystems Ready Set hemodialysis streamline, airless blood tubing with viral -blocking patient transducer protectors and priming set, featuring the needle-less access port. Estimated quantity 960 cases. 2. 666-1731, MediSystems Arterial/Venous Fistula Needle Set with master guard anti-stick needle protector, 15 gauge x 1'. Estimated quantity 168 cases. The procurement will be for a firm-fixed priced purchase order for the anticipated period 10/1/10 through 9/30/11. Any firm who believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by September 1, 2010, 2:00 p.m. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed and must show competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement to Henry Schein, Inc. All vendors are hereby notified if your response is not received by the date and time specified in this notice, it will not be considered. Faith-Based and Community -Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
