Description
Market Survey CARTRIDGE, 12-GAUGE NON-LETHAL, WARNING MUNITIONS The U.S. Army, Joint Munitions and Lethality Contracting Center, on behalf of the Office of the Program Manager, Close Combat Systems and the U.S. Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command, Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (RDECOM-ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ are currently seeking sources for the availability of two (2) distinct non-developmental 12 gauge Warning Munitions with effective ranges of approximately 100 meters and 200 meters respectively. These rounds must be capable of providing an audio report (minimum 170 5 decibels (dB) when measured at a distance of 1.5m [5 feet]), bright flash (minimum 5.0 million candelas 1.0 million candelas) and a smoke cloud clearly visible to the shotgun operator during all daylight conditions at the designated ranges. Respondents should provide information of their proposed cartridge designs to include minimum safe distance and maximum effective range. The round must be compatible with all standard issue shotguns (Mossberg 500A1, Mossberg 500A2 and Remington 870). Respondents should also provide information of the accuracy of their design at the designated ranges in 50m increments. All interested parties that believe they can meet the above requirements shall provide data showing their cartridges technical capabilities. Respondents are also encouraged to submit their manufacturing capabilities. Responses should include the offerers current business structure: (a) name of company to include company point of contact, technical point of contact, company address, telephone numbers (voice and fax), email address; (b) company size (i.e. large, foreign, small disadvantaged, veteran owned, veteran own, etc). Interested companies should include their minimum and maximum monthly production capability and their associated shifts. A respondent to this survey should be able to show adequate technical and manufacturing capability (i.e. manpower, facilities, and any relevant automation). Responding firms shall state their International Organization of Standards (ISO) qualifications or equivalent status. If any propriety information is submitted in response to this market survey that information must be clearly marked as such. This market survey is for information and planning purposes only, it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), and is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government implies no intention or opportunity to acquire funding to support current or future production efforts. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. No award will be made as a result of this market survey. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this market survey. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey.
