- This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested. A written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as RFQ Q5630100199.The U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Cumberland Island National Seashore, located in Saint Marys, Georgia, has a requirement to purchase and install chain concrete floating docks. The period of performance will be 60 days from the date of award.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 and the size standard is $33.5 million. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 37, Services Contracting.Summary of Work: Provide manpower, equipment, supplies and materials to extend existing concrete floating dock by approximately 16 linear feet. Detailed Description of Contractor Responsibilities: 1.Install two (2) concrete floating dock sections, 8'x 9'. These sections will be connected to the existing dock using same dimensional, marine grade lumber and all associated hardware.2.Remove two (2) wooden timber pilings, approximately 14" in diameter and 50' long and reinstall on the North side of the new dock sections.3.Install two (2) new 14"x 14"x 50' concrete pilings at the East end of the completed extension, along with bracket guides and rollers.4.Water Jet all pilings, to set in place and cut off all newly installed pilings, at the same height as the existing pilings. Special Considerations: 1.Contractor is responsible for water transportation.2.Contractor is responsible for disposal of all material and waste cleanup.3.Work may have to be scheduled around Ferry departures.4.Restroom will be provided at the Visitor Center, near the worksite.5.Work must be completed within (2) weeks from start date.6.Project is pending Department of Natural Resources and Army Corps of Engineers approval. Permits have been requested and awaiting public notice. Location: The site is located at the Mainland Ferry Dock in St. Mary's, on the St. Mary's River, in Camden County Georgia.
