Description
This is a solicitation being offered under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). Interested offerors are required to review the entire solicitation package, and follow the instructions contained within prior to submitting a response. THIS IS ONLY A PORTION OF THE TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION CONTAINED WITHIN THE SOLICITATION. VENDORS ARE REQUIRED TO DOWNLOAD THE ENTIRE SOLICITATION PACKAGE TO ENSURE AN OFFER WILL BE COMPLIANT WITH THIS RFP'S REQUIREMENTS. IT IS THE OFFEROR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THEY ARE IN COMPLIANCE, NOT SAIC-FREDERICK, INC. ANY OFFER THAT DOES NOT COMPLY WITH THE RFP REQUIREMENTS WILL BE DETERMINED AS NON-RESPONSIVE, AND WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR AWARD. The goal of this project is to develop and deliver new robust, validated assays to measure molecular-level responses to treatment with molecular targeted agents. These assays, with full development, should allow quantification of the modulation of molecular targets in tumor and surrogate tissue specimens, during treatment with investigational anticancer therapeutics and support pharmacodynamic studies in animal models and in human cancer patients. Ultimately, these studies may find a correspondence between quantitative pharmacodynamic response and degree of tumor growth modulation via the same target in animal efficacy models.
