- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for annual software maintenance renewal of thefollowing:QTY 3 IDL OS X NS Node Maintenance RenewalQTY 17 IDL MAC OS X Flexible Single User License Maintenance RenewalQTY 1 IDL OS X Node-Locked Maintenance RenewalQTY 65 IDL Unix Floating Network Maintenance RenewalQTY 2 IDL Unix 3-User Node-Locked Maintenance RenewalQTY 1 IDL Unix Node-Locked Maintenance RenewalQTY 4 IDL Alpha-VMS Floating Network Maintenance RenewalQTY 5 IDL Windows Floating Network Maintenance RenewalQTY 14 IDL Windows Flexible Single User License Maintenance RenewalQTY 4 IDL Windows Node-Locked Maintenance RenewalQTY 2 ENVI+IDL Linux Floating Network Maintenance RenewalQTY 1 IDL Advanced Math and Stats MAC OS X Single User Node-Locked Maintenance RenewalNASA/GSFC intends to purchase these services from Research Systems, Inc. DBA ITT VisualInformation Solutions pursuant to FAR 13.106, for the acquisition of supplies or servicesdetermined to be reasonably available from only one source. ITT exclusively manufactures,develops, and distributes the Interactive Display Language (IDL) software. The Government does intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 2:30PM EST on datelisted above. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purposeof determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Adetermination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
