- Description
- The AF ISR Agency/A7KRA, Patrick AFB, FL has a need to modify the existing Atmosphere and Space Research, Development and Program Analysis Support Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) contract# FA2521-05-C-8006. The intent is to extend the contractual period of performance by 6 months from 16 Sep 2010 through 16 Mar 2011 for continued services for this contract under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1)(2) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This modification is intended to fill a gap in support capabilities until a follow-on competitive support services contract can be awarded. The latter has already been synopsized under the AFTAC/TH AFTAC Nuclear Detonation (NUDET) Detection Analysis System (ANDSAS) solicitation# FA7022-10-R-0044. Tasks under the Atmosphere and Space contract# FA2521-05-C-8006 provide AFTAC with the capability to detect, locate, identify, assess, and report in near-real-time, all atmospheric and space detonations. These software capabilities support storage, retrieval and off-line analysis of satellite data processed by the integrated Correlation and Display System (ICADS) as well as data from any other atmospheric or exo-atmospheric remote monitoring sensors. Tasks shall also include correlating multi-source data types for alert officer analysis and the development of algorithms that associate event data. The NAICS code for this requirement is 541712, Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Biotechnology). THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the contracting officer within 15 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. Responses are due no later than 4 Sep 10 at 2:00 pm EST to pat.bosinger@patrick.af.mil. A determination to continue or alter this intended contract modification is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice is posted in accordance with FAR Parts 5.201 and 6.302-1.
