Description
The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, tools, equipment and material necessary to perform the work. The Contractor shall also provide a Materials and Basic Construction Proposal for the site cleanup and precision grading. 1. Mobilization and demobilization - • Mobilization and Demobilization will be performed to meet all requirements in Construction Specification 8 - Mobilization and Demobilization ( attached). 2. Site Preparation Clean Up - Removal of any residual debris from previous land clearing. • Debris is considered objects of 2 or more inches in diameter and 2 or more feet in length that would interfere with any planting or tillage equipment, and may include, but is not limited to tree limbs, roots, and any residual stumps left from previous land clearing efforts. • Debris will be removed from the site at the contractor's expense. 3. Site Preparation for Land Smoothing • A large tillage implement such as a Roan Plow, capable of cutting no less than 10 inches deep shall be pulled in perpendicular directions and a diagonal, 3 directions total. • Debris unearthed by each disking shall be removed as defined in item 1. Site Preparation Clean Up. • A drag may be used in conjunction with the disking to facilitate land smoothing requirement. 4. Land Smoothing • Smoothing will be performed to meet all requirements in construction specification Land Smoothing Code 466 (attached). • Site should be smoothed to an extent that normal farming implements i.e. tractors, planters, light disks, and land planes, can be utilized. • All areas, excluding the pre existing wetland area, shall have positive drainage, and no ponding of water. • Contractor will be responsible for routing drainage from fields in a manner to inhibit any erosion of surrounding area. Any plan to route water must be pre-approved by NRCS officials, and should tie into existing drainage features if possible. • Care will be taken to protect a 1.3 acre wetland area in field 3 and 1.6 acres of steeply sloped ground near FM 2782 in field 4. No drainage from fields will be routed to the steeply sloped area due to erosion potential. • Any damage done to underground lines, water, electrical, etc, will be repaired at the contractor's expense. • Any debris as define in statement 1 shall be removed from the site as a final clean up.
