Description

Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract to Lockheed Martin Syracuse, New York, for ten WRA-37 Mod Kits (P/N 7548725G2) with Instructional Drawing (134A5658) and ten WRA-43 Mod Kits (P/N 7549748G1) with Instructional Drawing (7549749). Delivery of supplies/services to be furnished hereunder shall be within six (6) months from date of contract award, but shall be no more than twelve (12) months from date of contract. Lockheed Martin is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the APS-145 Radar and is the only firm with the requisite technical data rights, tooling, test facilities, and possess the in-depth knowledge of the designs necessary to resolve safety, reliability, and readiness problems in a timely fashion. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government; Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement.
