- The U. S. Department of Commerce, NOAA intends to solicit for purchase of the following cable assemblies: 1) 150 each Cable Assembly, Fiber Optic, 30 Ft, IAW P/N 62828-42100-30; 2) 50 each Cable Assembly, Fiber Optic, 50 Ft, IAW P/N 62828-42100-50; 3) 90 each Cable Assembly, Fiber Optic, 20 Ft, IAW P/N 62828-42100-20; 4) Cable Assembly, Fiber Optic, 40 Ft, IAW P/N 62828-42100-40; 5) 10 each Cable Assembly, Fiber Optic, 70 Ft, IAW P/N 62828-4210070; 6) 10 each Cable Assembly, Fiber Optic, 80 Ft, IAW P/N 62828-42100-80; 7) 10 each Cable Assembly, Fiber Optic, 100 Ft, IAW P/N 62828-42100-100; and 9) 10 each Cable Assembly, Fiber Optic, 180 Ft, IAW P/N 62828-42100-180. These items are being purchased for the National Weather Service (NWS), Automated Surface and Operations System (ASOS) spare parts program to be delivered to the National Logistics Support Center, Kansas City, MO. The supplies are to be shipped on a FOB Destination basis. The intended procurement is for supplies for which the Government intends to acquire under the guidelines of FAR Part 12, Commercial Items. This is a 100% small business set-aside. The Government will require first article testing under this requirement. The NAICS code for this action is 335921. The NWS special packaging/marking requirement will be applicable. The Eastern Region Acquisition Division-Kansas City requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). To register with the CCR and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUN). A DUN number may be acquired free of charge by contacting Dun & Bradstreet on-line at https://www.dnb.com/product/eupdate/requestOptions.html or by phone at (800) 333-0505. In order to receive a complete Request for Quotation (RFQ) package, all interested parties must submit a request to Karen Christian by either email to karen.l.christian@noaa.gov or fax to 816-274-6952. The request must be received on or before 12:00 PM CST, August 31, 2010.
