- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound intends to solicit, in support of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS), a firm fixed price, service type contract for Laundry Service to include cleaning and repair of shipyard garments in accordance with the performance work statement, Base Year plus 4-one year options includes handling and laundering of asbestos/lead contaminated clothing. Contractor ™s facility must have a WA State water discharge permit. FOB Destination to Silverdale, WA. The required Period of Performance is 01 October 2010 to 30 September 2011. The anticipated posting date of the solicitation is on or about 09 AUGUST 2010 with a closing on 24 AUGUST 2010. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit on a full and open competitive basis. This requirement to be solicited using commercial, simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13.5 utilizing Low Price Technically Acceptable evaluation factors. The acquisition will be solicited anticipating award of a Firm, Fixed-Price Service type contract. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: https://www.neco.navy.mil. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents. Prospective offerors should register themselves on the NECO website. No telephone or FAX requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or FAXed. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by FISCPS. Offerors must also be registered in the Contractors Central Registration (CCR) in order to participate in this procurement at http://www.ccr.gov.
