- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for:Qty: 1, E600/NRDE600 with NRD, mounting bracket, and cable.Qty: 1, Ultra identifFINDER with dia 1.4'x 2' 9dia 35 mm x 51 mm) Nat(TI), He-3 neutrondetector, GM dose rate detector, holster, battery charger, serial/USB interface adapterbox including cables, carry case, winTMCA software. INSTRUMENT with SourcelessStabilization and Cs-137 (-3nCi) for Calibration with Nal(TI) Detector.Qty: 1, Interceptor with CZT finder detectors, high resolution CZT identificationdetector, He-3 neutron detector, voie recorder, digital camera and Bluetooth wireless--20 week lead time--NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Thermo Eberline LLC pursuant to FAR 13.106for the acquisition of supplies determined to be reasonsably available from only onesource. It is our understanding that Thermo Eberline is the only vendor which can providea neutron radiation meter specifically used to conduct radiation surveys around neutronradiation sources located on NASA's Goddard Center. The device will be used to verify newradioactive sources and are specific items needed to meet the requirements of theRadiation Protection Program.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m.easternstandard time on 08/12/2010. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solelyfor the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on acompetitive basis.
