- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Administrative Services Division’s (ASD) Transportation Group provides fuel for all of NIST’s vehicles and machinery. ASD provides a variety of fuels: Gasoline, Diesel, Natural Gas, and E85. ASD requires a system that can function as a fuel management system tool for these fuels. The fuel management system must consist of equipment that will provide control of and accountability of all fueling actions for different types of fuel, specifically: diesel, gasoline, E85 and natural gas. The equipment will be used to fuel NIST-owned vehicles. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and documentation necessary to demolish an existing concrete island, remove existing equipment, design and install new concrete island, and provide and install a gasoline pump on the concrete island in accordance with the Statement of Work. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary to provide and install a fuel management unit and associated software as defined by the Statement of Work, train Division employees on system use, deliver activation devices, automotive information modules and network cards, and provide maintenance for the gasoline pump and the fuel management unit. Delivery terms shall be FOB DESTINATION. The period of performance shall be stated in the request for quotation. The NAICS code for this requirement is 333132 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business. Simplified Acquisition Procedures shall be utilized. The competitive Request for Quotation (RFQ), amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at HTTP://WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV under RFQ number SB1341-10-RQ-0642. Potential offerors will be responsible for obtaining this solicitation and related Amendments, if any, from www.fbo.gov after the solicitation has been posted. It is, and will continue to be, the responsibility of each potential Offeror to monitor www.fbo.gov for any amendments or other information related to the solicitation; the Government will not be maintaining a mailing list. Any communications regarding this acquisition must be made in writing and forwarded via email to carol.wood@nist.gov, and shall identify the solicitation number, company name, company address, as well as point of contact email address and phone number. Offerors shall be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov, in order to be eligible to receive a contract under this acquisition. NIST anticipates posting the solicitation approximately three (3) days after the date of publication of this notice.
