Description

Project Title: Region 3, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Improvements to the Rhonda Krueger Memorial Trail at the Schoenberg Marsh Waterfowl Production Area (WPA) in Columbia County, Wisconsin. Project includes but is not limited to the clearing of vegetation, excavation for the trail, placement of a geotextile fabric, and construction of a six (6) inch aggregate base for an existing grass/earth mowed path of approximately 2,220 feet. The estimated magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. This procurement is issued under FAR 52.219-6 as a set aside for small business only. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 238990, Other Specialty Trade Contractors, with a size standard of $14.0M. It is anticipated that performance will begin this Fall with a performance period of 30 calendar days after issuance of a notice to proceed with the work. The solicitation package will be available via electronic commerce at http://ideasec.nbc.gov and http://fedbizopps.gov on or about 08/20/10 with quotes due on 09/20/10. No telephone requests for the solicitation can be accepted. This solicitation will NOT be available in hard copy. The electronic solicitation package will consist of separate files for the standard form used for the submission of a quote, the specifications, and the prevailing wage determination.
