- The Air Force intends to make an award on a competitive basic for the following service: The Contractor shall provide a series of 10 workshops on emerging topics in Homeland Defense (HD) and Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA), to include thorough coverage of homeland defense, interagency relationships, foundations of terrorism and policy issues in Homeland Defense and Civil Support. The solicitation will be available on or about 10 August 2010. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunity (FBO) web site http://www.fbo.gov/. T his requirement will be accessible to those companies deemed eligible by the information they provided when they register with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) web site http://www.ccr.gov/ and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) web site http://bpn.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will NOT be available. The Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this solicitation, including any amendments and other general information, will also be distributed solely through this site. All interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have up-to-date information about this acquisition and are encouraged to monitor and register their company on the Interested Vendor List (IVL) and Register To Receive Notifications. This acquisition is being procured as full and open competition. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 611430 with a small business size standard of $7 million.
