- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, WMEC Product Line, will be issuing a solicitation to perform the inspection and overhaul of 1 each, Welin Lambie Dual Point Davit, P/N TW.PIV 5.0B. It is anticipated that a sole source contract will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures as prescribed in FAR Part 13.5 - Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, as a result of the solicitation. It is the Government's intent to negotiate solely with Welin Lambie Ltd. All work is required to be performed in accordance with the Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM's) specifications, standards and recommended overhaul procedures for the specific Davit model. Technical data and/or drawings pertaining to Welin Lambie parts and services are propriety and not available for release to the public. The non-availability of technical data precludes the Coast Guard from obtaining competition. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps on or about August 23, 2010. This date is estimated, and it is the contractor's responsibility to monitor FedBizopps on a regular basis for the solicitation and any amendments.
